    Working Experience: Joined SP Brewery on the 1st of August 2019 as Managing Director.

    Between January 2016 to August 2019, he was Managing Director at Surinaamse Brouwrij N. V., HEINEKEN’s operating company in Suriname. In this role, he led the OpCo through a severe economic crisis in Suriname maintaining profitability and volumes through assertive pricing and NPI strategies.

    From 2012 to 2016 he was General Manager for Europe Export & Global Duty Free before taking up his role in Suriname.

    He first joined HEINEKEN Netherlands in 1990 in On Trade Sales and then moved to HEINEKEN Export in 1994 first in Central Europe and then General Manager for HEINEKEN Taiwan from 1997 to 2000. He returned to Amsterdam as International On-Premise Trade Manager at Corporate Marketing before taking up increasingly senior commercial roles in West Africa, Dubai and then Nigeria.

      RODERICK VAN DEN BRINK

      • Nationality: Dutch
      • Appointed: April 2024

      Working Experience:

      Roderick joins us from Vrumona B.V where he held the position of Account Director Superunie, New Business and Sales Support as a member of the Retail management team, responsible for the commercial strategy and negotiation with some of the largest retailers in the Netherlands. In this role, Roderick negotiated the highest price increase after a track record of no increases in 5 years, turned a declining market share into growth, and significantly improved relationships resulting in top 3 scores in the Advantage survey at key customers.

      Prior to taking on this role, Roderick held various sales and marketing positions in HEINEKEN and Vrumona over a period of 6 years.

        ADNANE ISLAM CHEKIRINE


        Position: Finance Manager Nationality: Algerian Appointed: August 2023

        Working Experience: Adnane joined SP Brewery with extensive experience in Business Control, Process Control, and Improvement and great leadership in the role of Finance Manager. He joined the company from Bralima, Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he played a key role in strengthening planning activities, bringing insights, and supporting decisions based on a data-driven approach to stabilize profitability He contributed as a business partner together with Sales, Marketing RMG teams, in reshaping trade terms pricing strategy and shifting commercial spend effectiveness on strategic brands/activities. Adnane joined Tango SARL in May 2017 and held several roles in P&CI for the Algeria-Tunisia hub and played a key role in strengthening the Control environment. He took part in the AMEE Finance talent program and had two short-term assignments in DRC Ivory costs in 2018 and 2019, working on Risk Control projects.

        Adnane joined Bralima DRC in March 2021 as Strategic Business Control Manager and oversaw driving the F&F Cost agenda and played a key role in delivering a strong ambitious costs plan for 2021, 2022, and 2023.

        Prior to joining Tango SARL, Adnane had Auditing and consulting experience within EY in Algeria and EY Maghreb Hub.

          JOHN NILKARE


          Position: Corporate Affairs Manager Nationality: Papua New Guinean Appointed: July 2015

          Working experience: John Nilkare joined SP Brewery in July 2015 in the role of Corporate Affairs Manager which he currently holds.

          He joined the Company from Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) where he held several managerial positions and obtained a strong commercial acumen. Prior to the seven years he spent at CCA he was employed with the ANZ Banking Corporation Ltd for six years joining them as a graduate trainee.

          John has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Papua New Guinea and is currently studying to attain a Executive Master of Business Administration. He also served as SP Brewery's Company Secretary between 2015 to July 2020.

          He also serves on the following boards: Manufacturers Council of PNG, Business Coalition For Women, SP Brewery Foundation Inc., The Institute of National Affairs and Capital Rugby Union. John is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

          John's other interests involve travelling, rugby union and golf.

            MOMO VERE


            • Position: Human Resource Manager

            • Nationality: Papua New Guinean

            • Appointed: January 2015

            Working Experience:

            Momo is the Human Resource Manager at SP Brewery, since April 2015.

            She has more than 20 years of experience in the Human Resources (HR) Industry. She held various roles including HR Manager, before being promoted to HR Director at Kumul Hotels Limited Intercontinental Hotels Group from 2008 to 2014, Training Manager at Brian Bell Group of Companies from 2002 to 2008, Executive Assistant and Area HR Manager from 1993 to 2001 at Kumul Hotels Limited.

            Momo has a Diploma in Media Studies from the University of Papua New Guinea. She also holds professional qualifications for Dealing with Difficult People from PNG Employers Federation, Certificate LEAP Program HEINEKEN HNV – Singapore and Certificate in Developing Employees – Harvard Manage Mentor & IHG Hotels. Winner of People Award for IHG Hotels ANZPAC, NSW Australia, 2009. Certified Insights Discovery Practitioner with HEINEKEN.

              LAWRENCE ACANUFA JNR


              Position: Marketing Manager Nationality: PNG Appointed: October 2024

              Working Experience: Lawrence joined SP Brewery in 2016 as Heineken Brand Manager. He transferred to Heineken Malaysia Berhad Opco for 6 months on a Short-Term Assignment as the Guinness Brand Manager. Upon his return to PNG in August 2017, he landed in the role of Senior Brand Manager. In 2019 Lawrence was promoted to Acting Marketing Manager role, where he played a major part in the achievement of repositioning of SP Lager, Niugini Ice & Export Lager, creating new campaigns nationwide based on Local Pride Research.

              In his last role as Transformation Lead from 2020 to 2023, Lawrence led and collaborated with our functions to deliver on our C&V/F&F STI max targets for all 3 years driving the cost-conscious culture through the business. Lawrence was instrumental in supporting the Leadership Team to drive our continual change management culture.

                KRZYSZTOF ŻYREK


                Position: Supply Chain Manager (PNG & Solomon Islands) Nationality: Polish Appointed: May 2023

                Working Experience: Krzysztof Zyrek joined SP Brewery in May 2023 in the role of Supply Chain Manager for the cluster SP Brewery and Solomon Breweries. Before joining SPB, Krysztof was the Brewery Director for the Warka and Lezajsk breweries in Grupa Zywiec, Poland. Krzysztof led the creation of an effective best practice-sharing platform and introduced synergies that significantly enhanced the breweries’ performance. Under his leadership, the "Digital Lighthouse Brewery" was established in Warka, which is now among the best-performing breweries in HEINEKEN.
